Every summer there is a contest called Sjezenrijden. There is a course with 3 or 4 rings hanging over it, a male & female (and sometimes kids aswell) sit in a chaise that is towed by a (draft) horse. Everyone has to wear traditional clothing, the chaise needs to be decorated with real flowers and the horse needs to be decorated aswell! The horse needs to trot around the course while the female tries to get all the rings with a lance! I love to watch it, take pictues and pet the horses, ofcourse :D

This pic I took at the beach perfectly illustrates my view of the world -- any word you write in the sand will wash away with the tide, but only if you get close enough to the water. Likewise, any risk you take, any time you jump into something, any time you stand on the edge and decide to go over it, whatever happens will change everything... But in the end, it's all your life, and there's no such thing as "going back." Embrace what you have and keep making those changes! It's my favorite pic of summer specifically because I've gone through a lot of those types of changes this summer, and it's been my best summer in years!

This is the annual Folklife Festival here in Seattle, WA. It makes the beginning of every summer for me and I LOVE going to it and listening to the bands, watching the people play, and looking at all the different art and designs people have in their stores. :)

I spent some days canoeing and camping at Mueritz National Park, a beautiful landscape with untouched nature and a lot of lakes and rivers. That's what summer means to me...

Walking/camping in "Petite Suisse" in Luxembourg :) Sun, friends, alot of nature and cozy camping nights :D It was great! And being surrounded with such beauty really gives you a boost :)
