The much-awaited day is here, and the new German Postcrossing stamp is finally out! YAY! 🎉 This is a very happy day for the community, who have been persistently asking for this stamp for many years. As Germany is home to the most active country by number of postcards sent, this is a well-deserved honor and a special milestone, which makes us incredibly proud. Our heartfelt thank you to the Federal Ministry of Finance, for deeming Postcrossing and this community worthy of this recognition, and for working with us throughout this whole process.
We know some of you in Germany have already received your pre-orders to Deutsche Post’s philatelic department…
… and we assume the rest of German postcrossers will march to the nearest post office today, to proudly ask for the Postcrossing stamp — like we are going to do as soon as this post is out. The print run for the stamp is 3.5 million stamps, so at the current rate of sending from Germany, these should last for 3 to 4 years a year or so… so there will be plenty to go around. Given how fleißig our German members are at writing postcards, we’re sure it’s just a matter of time until everyone else in Postcrossing receives a postcard with the new stamp… so keep an eye on your mailbox for this little gem! 😍
The stamp is available here, but sadly, Deutsche Post’s online shop does not ship their products abroad… so while it is theoretically possible to order the stamp from abroad through the phone or email, it is both cumbersome and costly. If you’d like to order some stamps, we recommend arranging a swap with a postcrosser on the forum instead.
Tomorrow (October 7) is a day for celebrations, and we’re getting together with a group of enthusiastic postcrossers for a big meetup, kindly hosted by the Museum of Communications, in Berlin. The Little Mail Carriers have been there before, and can confirm it’s a really neat museum for a visit… there are so many treasures to discover! If you’re in town, please do consider joining us — everyone is welcome!

PostCrossers from PostCrossing themed stamp issued, pl use these stamps whenever my address pops up for you to send a postcard to me.....thank you very much.....cheers.
Hope more countries will follow suit to issue PostCrossing themed stamp/s soon......
Yes 🙌 what a happy day! Feeling grateful.
I have order some stamps for a minute, for my next postcard writing.
I've ordered mine online yesterday but just received an e-mail, that the treatment of my order will be delayed :-/. Getting stamps in the post office has become very difficult in the last years. Not all offices have commemorative stamps and those who have, only sell them after queuing for quite a while.
I just placed my order. Can't wait to finally use them on all my cards to other countries. This makes me so happy.
Waiting for india post to issue a postcrossing stamp, and make all indian Postcrossers and outgoing slcards happy
I bought 500 of these little treasures last night 😀
Most postal administrations in Europe have excellent online shops and I regularly buy stamps in advance before travelling. I usually send about 50-60 postcards per trip! I have never understood why Deutsche Post does not sell stamps to foreign buyers, especially since the selection in post offices is often limited.
Such a lovely stamp! I can't wait to receive one in the mail 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻!
I just got it in our local post Office and the employees there didn't had a clue what this stamp is about.
I will Start to send postcards with this stamp right away!!!!!
Yippie, I just got them, they look beautiful and friendly. This evening I'll send the first one!
I ordered mine online yesterday. Today I got the message that they are being sent. So I guess I will receive them tomorrow.
So happy Germany now has it's own Postcrossing stamp :)
Congrats Germany! Well done! Looks Great!
How delightful you all must be, as we have so many postcrossers from Germany this is a gift that will be shared with many of us. We all benefit…
This is a super day for Postcrossers in Germany. Quote: "The stamp is available here, but sadly, Deutsche Post’s online shop does not ship their products abroad" Could someone tell me why? I thought Post Office promoted posting to all corners of the world. The quantity sounds good so now, other Postcrossers who want some of the stamps with start a search for them.
I am going to support the Canadians now to get their Postcrossing stamp:

Looking forward to receiving some of these lovely stamps on my postcards 💖😀
Congratulations 🎉 to all of the Postcrossers in Germany 🇩🇪 What a feat 👏 👏 👏
I bought them as soon as our post office opened this morning and the first ones are on their way 🥳
And in my small town post office the employee didn't know what I meant when I said I wanted the Postcrossing stamp either. Now she knows, I've lectured her extensively 😂😂
Having been born in Germany, I add my kudos to my birth country and my fellow POSTCROSSERS there for advocating for our own post card stamp.
And what a beautiful stamps it is. Congratulations!
Exciting news!! Congrats to Germany!
so pretty :-*
Yeahhhhh- I already order the new Postcrossing Stamps 😎
I wish Postcrossing Stamps not only for international- also for German Postcards.
AWESOME!!!! I really(x9999999) want it!!!!! 😭🖤❤💛 Congratulations!!
I ordered some last night, so I hope they arrive soon :D Finally!
This morning I bought some at a tiny store in a little sleepy town named Lam (Bavarian Forest near czech border) and told the surprised lady how much it means to me. 🥰
(I'm here for helping a friend with her relocation, normally I live near Frankfurt Main).
I'm so happy to send them soon throughout the whole world 💌🌍
How very cool to receive a postcard with this stamp :)
This stamp is so beautiful
I'm waiting the French stamp
<3
Great ! I wish each country (especially mine...) would do the same !
Hurray and Congrats Germany!!!
Hello dear Postcrossers,
Today I already franked the first postcards with the new German Postcrossing stamp and brought them to the post office so that these stamps get the postmark of the first day of issue (FDC).
The STAMP collectors among us will appreciate this.
I bought all the stamps my small philatelic post office had in stock today (330 pieces) and the manager ordered another 300 stamps for me. That will last me for a while! :-)
Have a wonderful celebration! :-)
I got mine at the local post office - no problem at all. But it's true what someone said, they don't have a clue what Postcrossing is. Such a shame!
I would love to swap one. So pretty.
I picked some up this afternoon from our local post office. :-)
Of course l was in my small post office today and bought 120 of the unfortunately only small amount of 200 copies allocated. 8 were used directly and sent to postcrossers in the
Netherlands, USA, Switzerland, Finland, Czech Republic and Ukraine ! In addition to direct swap friend Les in Nashua (USA) and an "undeliverable" (!) to me 😊!
Thanks to the postal workers who always carefully stamp everything ! ! !
All recipients enjoy the postcards from Germany that will soon be arriving !
I received one today from Anja from Germany. Love it!
I got a few of those today and I must say, I am underwhelmed. Unconvenient format, even more ugly than in the previews, I really wonder if Deutsche Post could not do any better. Of course, this is a matter of personal aesthetical leans. So, nothing to wait for. Go on, nothing to see here... Happy Postcrossing anyway :)
I am happy because I got some for me and my friends. And some for postcards. :-)
Recently we celebrated World postcard day - today we Celebrate a sort of German postcard day 😃
Yeah! So happy.
I bought some today in my village's little postal agency.
First they said, they didn't got any. But the nice worker went to the backroom to look again and found them. :D
Yeah! Hope the US gets one soon!
nice stamps
Got mine at our local post office, yesterday.
Not obvious to get special stamps at our post office....
Hope I can send a lot of postcards with them <3
Lovely, would love this stamp if someone has one or wants to swap
I can't get them at my post office. So I ordered them online yesterday and I hope my 100 copies reach me today. Then I will use some directly and send them out into the world. Happy day :)
It's great to have a Postcrossing stamp in Germany! I just ordered a big number too.
But to be honest, the image is boring and uninspired, unfortunately.
Hurrah! 🦋
Just received my first 30 German Postcrossing stamps. ❤️ They look okay! Dē gustibus nōn est disputandum! (In matters of taste, there can be no disputes.) They will not please everyone. I can't wait to paste them on my next Postcrossing postcard to be send. I also ordered Postcrossing postcards from Berlin Meetup. I wonder who will be my first Postcrossing partner, who receives a Postcrossing postcard with a Postcrossing stamp. ❤️
A new postcrossing stamp from Germany? This will go in the History Books. Amazing News.
Indeed hard to believe that Germany is ahead in this aspect. Already ordered a bunch of it :-)
fleißig - think this might be my new favourite word after 'bee berry aire', my way to remember the Turkish for rosemary. 'fleißig' has a certain stamp about it.
Yesterday I bought 3 sheets in the main post office in Castrop-Rauxel :)
I also order this beautiful stamp. Then the next cards starts with this nice stamp. :-)
Today I received my PC stamps. So time for sending cards with these stamps :)
wow - this is cool. I received a letter from usa postal authorities thanking me for my postcrossing suggestion and it will go to committee (so there's hope). Congratulations Germany and Postcrossing
It was so nice to celebrate the German Postcrossing stamp launch in Berlin with postcrossers from many countries.
What a great design! I love it. I look forward to receiving one if I'm lucky!
It looks gorgeous! I hope China Post can make some Postcrossing stamp someday!
Looking forward to receiving one of these stamps on my postcards from my German friends
Beautiful stamp!
I bought a bunch of stamps at the big Launch Meetup yesterday, and although I'm not a big fan of the design I must admit that they look really nice on a postcard. 😊 Looking forward to send them all out!
Already bought some and sent 4 postcards yesterday 😄
I hope I received a card from Germany with this stamp 😁
Just received mine. So I am ready to write new postcards. 😊
📭 .................................... 📬
Yes, my stamps arrived today.
The first 10 who send me a message (not here in the comments), will receive a postcard with the new POSTCROSSING stamp. Let's go !
🌍 .................................... 🌏
I bought my first two at the local Deutsche Post shop 2 days ago
Anyone here willing to do a trade? I'm in the US - North Carolina - southern Appalachians - Asheville area - Great Smoky Mountains.
Very cool! I hope I get a card with one of those stamps!
There will be lots of postcards decorated with this stamp travelling all over the globe. Be patient. Meanwhile check out the postcrossing forum where you can trade postcards, stamps, etc. or win one in one of the many hosted lotteries. Check out the forum if you are impatient. ;)
My first postcard with this lovely stamp has to go traveling to the Czech Republic. All future ones will have it also on it! :-)
I have to add some last words.
In fact the design of the stamp doesn't perfectly meet my taste, but when I put it on a postcard it really looks quite fine.
I hope the Postcrossers throughout the world will like it and sometimes the transported message is much more important than the picture 💗. Love to all of you 💌
Received my order of these stamps this weeks and already sent 2 postcards with them on these postcards.
I hope the receivers will enjoy them :-).
To date, I have received almost 10 of these German PostCrossing themed stamps.....Thank you all..........cheers n enjoy PostCrossing...danker.
