The writing prompts are an ongoing experiment that invites postcrossers to write about a different topic on their postcards’ messages every month. These are just suggestions though — if you already know what you want to write about, or the recipient gives you some pointers, that’s great too!
We’ve suggested book and music-themes for these writing prompts before… but what about movies? Cinema is a popular past-time, with many people enjoying a movie now and then.
At the time I’m writing this post, the last movie we’ve seen was Coco, a fun animated movie about a music-loving boy who accidentally finds himself in the Land of the Dead… and gets into all kinds of adventures trying to find his way back to his family. It’s beautifully done and I promise that after you watch it, you’ll never be able to see a “Remember me” checkbox on any login page again without humming the corresponding song from the movie… 😜
What about you? Was the last movie you’ve seen any good? Share your big screen tips on the postcards you write this month!

Tha last film I have seen in the cinema was an ice landing movie. His tittle is Good Neighbours`. It is a very dramatic comedy, I am sorry but I am not sure to recommend it.
The film is from Iceland.
I can't go to the cinema because of health reasons. However, once in a while we rent DVDs from the library and watch them at home. Right now, we have Sherlock Gnomes on the shelf but haven't watched it yet. The last one we watched (rented) was Gnomeo and Juliet and I loved it.
It's been sooooo long since I watched a movie . . . . . . .
the incredibles 2 :))
The latest movie I have seen was "Loving, Vincent". It is an awesome movie, for it was completely painted in the way Vincent van Gogh painted his pictures! A postcrosser from Switzerland has recommended it to me and I recommended it to other postcrossers who like van Gogh's art.
@507: I wondered what an ice landing movie would be, perhaps something about figure skating or ski jumping. 😁
I watch movies every night and the last movie I watched was "A Thousand Words" (2012) with my friend Chantal. It is a nice movie about how good it is to forgive people and the movie for tonight will be "When We First Met" (2018).
The last movie I saw was "Mission Impossible, Fallout"
The latest movie I saw recently at our multiplex cinema was LITTLE ITALY (2018, Canada/USA, Directed by Donald Petrie). It was an English language, laugh-a-minute, romantic-comedy set in Toronto's iconic LIttle Italy. The characters are archetypes of all your stereotypical ethnic send-ups and absurdist caricatures of our country's Italian diaspora & their Canadian raised descendants. Veteran actress/comedian Andrea Martin who played the randy grandma really stole the movie from all the other stars like Emma Roberts, Hayden Christensen, Danny Aiello, Jane Seymore & Adam Ferrara. The other character actor that really surprisingly resonated for me in the film was none other than Calgary-raised Asian Canadian actor/comedian/improviser Andrew Phung (KIM'S CONVENIENCE). He played the leading man's often off-colored Chinese best friend who thinks he's as Italian as everyone else! When this movie makes it over to your local cinema or Netflix, make sure you get a chuckle or two out of this fast moving comedy gem.
The last movie I saw was Mama mia Here We Go Again. I must say i like the first part better because the story was more believable. But the scriptwriters did a good job in weaving Abba's music into the story. There was a huge gap in the 2nd movie, though, particularly, how Fernando got involved with the main character.
@BenatCalgary - I hope that movie will be released in our country. It sounds hilariously fun!
The last movie was also; Mama Mia Here We Go Again, and I loooooved it! It was again filled with laughter, good ABBA-music and humor. I loved again the story line, it was certainly a Feel Good Movie for the Summer. It was nice to see, Benny & Bjorn from ABBA, playing a role. Highly recommend!
A few days ago, here in Rome, I saw the film Adrift ("Stay with me", the title in Italian), and as a good sailor as I was, I became involved in the story, which moved me to the tender sentiment that the film showed...
The last movie I saw was the Jimmy Barnes story. Working Class Boy. I really enjoyed watching the life story of a famous musician. I was rather shocked at how hard his younger life actually was. My partner & I really loved the movie & would recommend it to everyone who likes Jimmy Barnes.
I'm excited about Tarantino's films, he knows how to do this "son of a bitch". I'm looking forward to his movie "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".
The last movie I saw was "Kedi". I watched it in holiday in Turkey.
I watch movies almost daily. The last movie I watched was Mother! It was both terrifying and intriguing
The last movie I saw was Peter Rabbit with my cousins in engald
i watched PAD MAN (Bollywood) yesterday- its a bio-pic movie about a man who made low cost sanitary napkins. Really Awesome.
Let's go to the movies!
And if you find a postcard showing a cinema, please send it to me. I collect postcards with cinemas and have a weblog about them.
"Pope Francis, a man of his word." Heart warming, eye opening and true for all people, regardless of religion:

I don´t go to the cinema very often (so once in 1-2 years), but this summer I saw the last adaptation of "Unknown Soldier". I'm basically not a fan of war films, but I love Finland and I knew a book. I don´t regret going to the cinema: an excellent camera, the film perfectly reflects the Finnish soul and nature
Unfortunately, I haven't watched lots of movies recently because of a very tight working schedule (was busy with translations). However, the last movie I've seen and that impressed me was "The skin I live in" with Antonio Banderas. He is really a wonderful actor who played a really real crazy doctor!
For the next days, I have downloaded two movies: Dream House and The girl with dragon tatoo. Let's ee:)
"Fifty Shades Freed",Very brilliant。
" I Origins" delight movie.
The last movie I saw was actually animated film, "Hotel Transylvania 3" and it was delightful :)
The last movie I watched was The Book Club with my husband. It was funny movie and perfect for couple. We both laugh out loud. It was a riot.
the last movie i saw was ocean's eight - watched it yesterday. interesting take by an all women cast. i enjoyed it very much.
lst movie i seen it in my tv.home its - man on the ledge- its wonderfull movie - thanks you- postcrossing - iraq-basrah city
The last movie I saw at the cinema: "Yours Juliet".
I had also read the book before and think the film was very successful. It is a touching, courageous and moving story!
Sadly I missed "Yours Juliet". Last movie was "The children act" with Emma Thompson at her best. Very disturbing movie on central questions - legal, ethical and moral
I've been to the movie "Abba - here we come again" with our daughter and I loved it. I wrote on FB that I want to see it again and asked who will go with me and the group is already 12 people. A little drink after the movie and we have a great evening!
The last Movie i saw was Disney's Christopher Robin.
Love Winnie the Pooh since my childhood.💕
I love movies because of the huge screen, when there are still wide landscapes to be seen and a great orchestra takes the hall on a journey. . . what more do you want?
In our small town there is an old cinema where you can still sit at the bar. The seats are worn out, but who cares? They only open on weekends. Soon there will be a huge new cinema in the neighbouring village. Will our cozy little cinema survive???
My last visit to the cinema: LaLaLand, I loved it
Last movie I watched was "Crazy Rich Asians." Finally great to see a movie about Chinese Singaporeans and their luxurious lifestyle and how most of them are unhappy despite being crazy rich.
The last movie I saw was on a big screen in my back yard: "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society". It is different from the book of the same name, but oh so wonderful. To be surrounded by friends on a cool summer night and watching a great movie is pure delight!
The Endless - one strange and interesting movie. Not sure if same is considered as horror movie, I may say it is some sort of sci-fi.
The last film I watched was Mission:Impossible-Fallout.I like it very much.I wanna watch it twice!
We saw Christopher Robin in theaters just a couple weeks ago and loved it so much as a family! It was such great fun and was really sweet.
I forgot to mention in my last message that for pet lovers I would highly recommend "A Dog's Purpose (2017)". Thanks.
The last movie I saw was Crazy Rich Asians. Loved it! Highly recommend you watch it too.
The Shape of Water. I liked it a lot. I’ve been a Guillermo del Toro fan a long long time 😊 I highly recommend this movie!
Lego Batman. My kid loves it and I've been forced to watch it at least 10 times now. (I have to admit, it was pretty funny. I laughed out loud the first time.)
Mamma Mia! Here we go again! ❤❤❤
Beautiful documentary. "Becoming Who I Was". A very moving portrait of love and friendship! Please watch it if you can. It's really wonderful.

As a huge movie fan, I love this writing prompt. Yes! Yes! Yes!
the last movie I saw was the Disney film "Coco". Had not so much expectation, because I thought coloured Skeleton, that just can be all but ridiculous. But really it touched me a lot. It had so much Moral and subtext to show how life and loved ones are a precious gift. And that you also shouldn´t always weight People after her first apperance.
The last movie I saw was the new Jurassic Park movie and I went alone because no one wanted to go with me. LOL! After I saw it, I knew why. :)
My next movie will be "Peppermint" with Jennifer Garner. I love her and that looks great!
Last Friday I watched the movie 'Manma Mia! Here We Go Again'.
I've never watched part.1, but I enjoyed so much.
I would recommend peter rabbit
Last movie I saw was "Pad Man" a movie from India. It was truly brilliant, when you have a dream, and you love someone, nothing can't stop you. I loved the film! :)
The last movie I watched was 'Like Father'. It was entertaining enough, but I would have loved to see more of Seth Rogen. He is fun.
Recently I had the opportunity to 're-watch' a movie I had not seen in years. It's an Australian movie called 'Picnic at Hanging Rock'...made in the 1970's and still one of my all time favorites. The theme music is an haunting as the movie. When I say 'haunting' I do not mean scary movie type of haunting. The movie leaves you with many questions unanswered but with a sense of mystery which invokes your imagination. Not many movies can do that these days. I can highly recommend it. Trailer with music:

I saw movie "Whitney" - and I still remain impressed. By chance I watched also "Grace Jones" and "Matangi/Maya/M.I.A." - they all three were/are great performer of songs and they had/have a big impact to their public (and also me).
