Meet Nuch, aka iamnuchy! She’s the #1 postcrosser in Thailand, and loves exploring new countries and their mailboxes. Above is a photo of her, taken in Sikkim, India. Here is what she had to say to our spotlight interview:
- How did you come across Postcrossing? What got you hooked?
-
I found out about Postcrossing from Thailand postcard lovers club’s webboard. I think it’s a great idea to write and to receive postcards to/from people all over the world. I love travelling and photography but can’t do much of it, so travelling with postcards fulfills my passion.
- Do you have any other interesting hobbies?
-
Yes. I’ve been collecting stamps since I was a primary school student. At that time I just collected by cutting all stamps from my parents letters. ^_^ But today I collect only mint stamps because I can’t find any letters in my mailbox anymore. I also do some knitting (just starting to learn how to knit), drawing and cooking.
- Show us your mailbox, your mailman/mailwoman, your postoffice or the place where you post or keep your postcards!
-
Here is my mailbox, and one of the boxes where I keep my postcards:
And here is my local post office:
- Show and tell us about your favorite received postcard to date, and what makes it special.
-
Difficult to answer…I have too many favorite cards. I enjoy beautiful landscapes and architecture and Panorama views. I always smile when I receive a cute Hello Kitty or Moomin postcard. And I like to learn more about other countries and their mailboxes/postboxes.
- What is it your favorite part of the Postcrossing process?
-
I think everybody likes the act of opening their mailbox and finding some postcards there. I also like the moment of searching a postcard in my stock to match the request.
- Have you been surprised by any place that you have received a postcard from or sent a postcard to?
-
Yes. Uzbekistan, Uruguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Oman, Ivory Coast, etc. Actually, every first postcard from a country which I have never been to!

Inspiring and interesting!! I just hope that I found Pc a bit earlier, because I got a fairly calligraphic handwriting and I couldn't find a way to implement it on my everyday basis! I just joined last August. Anyway, keep up the good work!
Hello Nuchy. Thank you for your very nice and interesting spotlight. The pics are lovely, too.
I see your covers for your cards, where do they come from?
Nice photo from you and the Sikkim mailboxes.

Hi Nuchy, nice to see you on the spotlight. Thanks a lot for TH-85654. And I love how you store the cards ;)
Very interesting to see how this passion for Postcrossing is enjoyed by other members.
I think your storage of your received cards is the best I have seen! So easy to flip through and look after!
Love your mailbox!
I love the way your also passionate about postcrossing! Your post office looks a bit like one in Belgium. I enjoyed reading your spotlight!
I remember her as the card I sent to her was one of my first. It was a Hello Kitty card with some flower stamps. And I get a really beautiful card from her showing a big golden statue :)
It is fun to see a photo of the card I sent you of the Royal couple with the stamp. I hope you have many more adventures in your mailbox.

The mail box is so nice!
Very nice to see your collection...yes my card to you will be amongst all those cards!!! Everything looks great. Congratulations.!~~
I appreciate each and every card that I have received. Having someone take time to think of me in this manner is very special. The stamps are an added extra bonus..Thank you..to all Postcrosser enthusiasts..
I understand your frustration. My post card to USA 13,448km took 17 days and reached the receiver, while my 7 postcards are now still travelling 6,500km to Russia...55 days have passed they are still struggling to their journey...
Pray for their safe trip is the only thing you and I can do...:)
