Hoera! Following the success of the first stamp ever dedicated to Postcrossing, PostNL is issuing a second sheet of stamps to honor the project this year!
The new sheet of 10 different stamps features an eclectic mix of popular Dutch highlights, connected through postcards. There are national parks and picturesque villages, fields of tulips and marvels of engineering… and everything in between! Without further ado, here they are:
Do you recognise all the sights?
From the top left corner (left to right, and top-down), they are: Delta Works, Frisian Islands, Hoge Veluwe, Binnenhof, Alkmaar’s cheese market, Bollenvelden, Giethoorn, Marken, Zaanse Schans… and our personal favourite, a character from Rembrandt’s most famous painting The Night Watch, wishing us all a “Happy Postcrossing”!
Keeping in mind that Postcrossing postcards travel mostly to foreign destinations, PostNL created a set of stamps that double as tiny tourism ambassadors, helping draw attention to the country’s most interesting and attractive sites. The resulting design (by Reinier Hamel from Sin agency) is a bright sheet of stamps, which promises to bring a conversation topic (and burst of colour!) to many future postcards.
The new stamp sheet will be available on all Bruna shops from March 29th, and you can also pre-order it online (along with a neat First Day Cover) from March 22nd on CollectClub.nl.
To celebrate the stamp launch, Dutch postcrossers are organising a meetup in Rotterdam on March 29th, and planning to send lots of postcards with the shiny new stamps. Do join them, if you can!
If you’re not in the Netherlands, keep an eye on your mailbox — your next Dutch postcards might feature their new Postcrossing stamps! 😀

Will get them as soon as they arrive on BRUNA-store. HOORAY !!
I don't like the Dutch postal services much for having made postcrossing and sending mail in general very expensive the last years (well above general inflation). But I guess being the first country to have a second issue of postcrossing stamps makes up for it a little ;-) And I think it's quite a nice set, too.
Nice set. I liked the first set and I think I will like this second set, too :)
Ta vypadá fantasticky! ♥ Doufám, že mi taky jednou přistane ve schránce ツ

Can I buy these postcrossing stamps in every BRUNA shop in Holland?
Or only on the day in Rotterdam. I hope I can buy them here in Veldhoven
on 29 March.
Oh, ik zag verder in het artikel van de nieuwe postcrossingzegels dat ze in alle BRUNA winkels te koop zijn.
Dus onnodige vraag.
I find them horrible! Who designs stamps like this? Awful!
Hahaha
I'm looking forward to receiving a card or two or ?? with these stamps on them! Bold and interesting designs!
Wonderful! Top Marks, Nederlands P.O., for colourful stamps which speak so well of your beautiful country! I wish that Australia Post would get on the band-wagon internationally, & issue more Aussie stamps with a nod to PostCrossing! We will keep on suggesting it - wish us luck!
I pre-ordered the new postcrossingstamps and.... received them today 23 march 2016.
I sent them out several days before the day of issue!
Verder strange andere uncommen but... wonderfull.
Very strange and uncommen. But they are beautifull.
I want to have those stamps...uniquely beautiful!
I also received my order today, so I'm sending out some cards with the stamp today!
Received my order yesterday and are now going to send, send, send!!!!
Why the second russian stamp dedicated to postcrossing was ignored? What means "cooperation"? It is stamp! On theme that is common in Russia. I guess that it is very strange.
@Feliz_katze Postcrossing regularly collaborates with postal services to bring Postcrossing stamps to life. In the case of the Dutch stamp, for instance, PostNL understood the importance of this cooperation, keeping Postcrossing involved throughout the stamp-making process from day one: considering our ideas, listening to feedback during the design phase and including us and the community in the marketing and launch of the stamp. The result is a great set of stamps, which pleases and honours the Postcrossing community. PostNL is also working with Postcrossing on other media initiatives, using the stamp to increase awareness of the project in the Netherlands.
We tried to enter such a cooperation with Rusmarka, but unfortunately, they've decided not to involve Postcrossing in the making of this stamp. As a result, we don't have much to share about it. We feel it's a pity and a wasted opportunity — but unfortunately, that was their choice.

Tuesday march 29th there will be the launch of the second Dutch Postcrossing stamps! At that day Dutch postcrossers will send 100 unique maxi cards with the new stamps on it at the postcrossing meeting in Rotterdam-Holland. So if you received one you'll be a lucky one!
Yesterday marks the first arrival of one of my postcards with the new Dutch PC-stamp! In 3 days all the way to Japan! The new stamp must have given the card real wings ;-).. https://www.postcrossing.com/postcards/NL-3376151
