March is here at last! Spring is just around the corner in the northern hemisphere and we’re in a good mood — not least because we have just finished counting how many postcards were sent from Germany last December and we can’t wait to share the results of the Postcards for a good cause campaign with you!
Ready? Here it goes:
Postcrossers in Germany sent a total of 83,721 postcards during December, therefore raising €8,372.10 for Stiftung Lesen! Well done, everyone!
Congratulations to all postcrossers — both German senders and receivers across the world! And a huge thank you to Deutsche Post, for renewing their commitment to this cause, year after year. We look forward to seeing this money being put to work in numerous programs that aim to improve reading skills across all ages.
As usual, we’ll get in touch with all the winners of the prizes in the coming days. Keep an eye on your email to find out if you won something! 😊

well done everybody!!
@Baronin You were all very diligent and we're very proud! :)
I'm glad to have contributed a few postcards of my own... :)
83000 postcards (and some more)! Wow! I just try to imagine that amount of cards - it's impressive. You did a very good job in Germany!
wow! Congratulations for your amazing job! And, yet,... you don't have a dedicated postcrossing launch? In Romanian postcrossing meeting, in event launch, when people start to debate the graphic of Romanian Stamp, I say: Germany and US don't have a special stamp! Oh, my God, Deutsche Post, do something with that.... !
Well done Germany! Wouldn't it be great if every country did this? Congratulations to all the lucky winners too, enjoy your swag! :)
WOOOOOOW!!!!! Well done Germany congratulations amazing!!!!!!!
Hiep Hiep Hoera!, Well done everyone!
Ich gratuliere!
Congratulations Germany
I receive 8 German card last year, that means i contribute some in this effort too!!How nice it is!
I think it's nothing to be proud of, more something to be ashamed. It's' very sad, that Germany even needs this foundation. We have very good schools here, so why don't they reach some people? I think our government (Deutsche Post is 100% property of the government) should care more why the schools don't reach their targets instead of fuelling an extra foundation by the Deutsche Post.
Congratulations !!!
Every 5 card of my more than 1000 is sent to Germany and received from Germany... I think Germans are too active in this game :-) Best wishes from Lithuania! Galina
glad to have been a part of it
