Sometimes, mail has really good timing, don’t you think? It makes us smile at the end of a particularly bad day, or sometimes… it serendipitously put us in touch with the right people at the right time! I’ll let Loli-ts, the recipient of a very timely postcard tell this lovely friendship story:
"This is the story of a postcard and two people… I’m Loli-ts (aka Dolores), living next to Barcelona, in Spain. On February 5, 2014 I received a beautiful view of Prague from azuzanka (aka Zuzana), from Prague in the Czech Republic.
Postcards are magical windows. It’s always a pleasure to see a piece of the world, and to read the handwriting of someone that you have never met, saying warm words and inviting you to look through the window of her or his eyes. So, I was happy to read the message from Zuzana… yes, specially happy this time: she said she was coming to Barcelona just some days later!
When I registered the card, I also invited Zuzana to ask for advice about their visit to Barcelona and, of course, to meet each other when she were here. And yes, we did!
We made a nice walk from their hotel through the Old Town of my city, discovering the spirit of the district, some hidden spots and secrets of story… and specially, we discovered new friends. Postcards and Postcrossing where a main subject of our conversation. And of our photos too!
Thanks to Postcrossing, Ana, Paulo and all the people who work to make possible this great project and so many wonderful experiences as this one was!"

Thank you Loli-ts and azuzanka for sharing your story with us! :)
What about you? Do you have your own Postcrossing story? Do share, we’d love to hear it!

Thank you for the lovely story! I enjoyed reading it and looking that the photos! Isn't it great that Postcrossing really brings people together? Wonderful!
Thaks for posting our story. That's a pleasure to share such a nice experience with other people :-)
Postcrossing definately has a way of bringing people together and it is always great to read the different stories and by reading them, to take some small part in that story.
What a wonderful story! :) Thank you so much for sharing!
Yup, a really nice story, and somehow I always leave a possibility to show my city to fellow postcrosser. That reminds me, last year, I had the same experiance with one girl from Taiwan. She remembered what I wrote on the postcard a year ago prior her visit to my country, and when she arrived to Zagreb, capital of Croatia, for two days I was her tour guy. She told me that when I visit Taiwan I can expect the same hospitality, and that's (getting knowing each other) the hidden bonus of postcrossing!
Another wonderful Postcrossing story!!!! Amazing! :)
That's a lovely story! I enjoyed reading it! I hope you will both keep in touch and visit each other again soon!
Thats very nice , and yes sometimes you get postcards or letters that make you smile . or when you are sick like me at the moment and you receive a friendly card thats cheerrs you up and make you happy.
Just another reason why I LOVE Postcrossing!
Some years ago I met a member in Tallinn. We had coffee and changed presents. It was fun, but it did not lead to anything bigger.
I don´t remember which sent the first card, Sien or I, but we have been writing to each other ever since. Last year we met in Barcelona and this year we are planning to travel to St. Petersburg, Russia. I am from Finland and Sien from Belgium.
A nice story. I can have an apartment from a postcrosser, when I visit Hamburg....
In a word - AWESOME! :)
Dolores, how wonderful to read about the story with Zuzanka, I am so glad we have the same contact, albeit through our letters, keep them coming.
So nice! Postcrossing blogs can have good timing too, this story cheered my day up :-)

Lovely story. I hope someday I will be able to meet another postcrosser here in Colorado or on my travels in another country.
Oh, that's a very heartwarming story. A toast to a new friendship to both of you and may you both be friends for a long time. :)
I love stories like this one! Hope I make my biggest wish come true and visit one of our Postcrossing friends soon ;)
Great story! I enjoyed it.
Amazing
Very nice story. Me happened anything similar. I found that in my little hometown is one post crosser more. I sent her (girl) a message and some months later we meet us, drunk caffee and talking about post crossing, common live, and families. She was my neighbour aprox 20 years ago and was friend with my daughter and I knew her father too.
