About CeceG...

*New address in 2024!*

It's always a delight to receive cards from all over the world and learn a little bit about your life. I enjoy getting viewcards, but if you don't have any, don't worry.

I'm from Honolulu and lived in New York City for many years. My husband & I rarely travel now, so it's wonderful to connect with people in different places. We live a quiet life, and I enjoy reading, sewing, baking, walking my dog and visiting friends and family.

I'd like to hear about you and what is making you happy right now. What's a fun fact about you or where you live? What should I eat if I visit your town? If you're lucky enough to travel, what was your favorite holiday vacation? Do you have plans to travel soon? Or tell me your favorite song, movie, book, or meal. I'm an avid reader and always welcome book recommendations. What are you binge watching? Do you have a favorite board game or party game? Do you have any pets?

If you need some ideas for what kinds of cards to send, here are some suggestions.

Viewcards of your area, National Parks, cultural or historical sites, buildings, statues, historic hotels
Specialities of your area: food and drink, arts and crafts, history
Vintage scenic postcards, travel posters, linen postcards
Public transportation (trains, train stations, bus, tram, funicular)
Map of your area
Spam (we love Spam in Hawaii!)
Bittermelon (also known as goya, bitter gourd), anything about Okinawa
Elvis Presley, classic Rock and Roll, music of the 60s, 70s, 80s
Black dogs, dogs of any kind, octopus, squid, kraken, tapir, any animals
Retro - I'm a child of the 1970s and 1980s, and would be happy to see anything related to that time
Sewing, quilting, fiber arts
Natural healing
Waterfalls, mountains, trees, flowers, anything in nature
Americana: Vintage, weird, or fabulous
Old Hawaii cards...if you have postcards from a long-ago vacation to Hawaii
Send me a card you love and tell me why you love it
And I like stamps too!

Or...Any card you send will be received with a smile. Handmade and ad cards are fine too. If you're feeling stressed out, just close your eyes, take a deep breath, and pick any card. All of the cards you send are my favorites.

Look forward to hearing from you! Aloha
