She has been a member for over 2 years (741 days).Hi, my name is Hannamaria (born 4th Oct 1989) and I'm the 3500 and somethingth Finnish user on this site.
I'm really interested in different languages, so it would be awesome if in the postcard you send to me could be something in your language/s, even if it's only "hello". I'd also like to hear about your country and things that you like. I'm not picky. I know from personal experience that the card is not endless and no matter how much you try to stuff in it it will not probably tell that much to the receiver (one only succeds to make a big splotch of gibberish), but a little random snippet of information about you would be nice.
My other interests are nature, drawing, music (I'm a cheery person, but dark and ominous music really gets me going. My favourite band is the Japanese band BUCK-TICK), colours, fantasy- and other books (childrens books too), fanfiction, slash/yaoi, people, certain movies (Billy Elliot, Bend It Like Beckham, LotR, Le Peuple Migrateur, Maurice, Hayao Miyazaki's films...) and tv-series (Prime Suspect, The Forsyte Saga, Miss Marple, LOST...), food and just about everything.
The main thing really is that the card you send 'looks' like you. For example you can send me a card with a picture of your favourite food and write the recipe on the back of the card. I prefer strange cards with interesting details about you or your country in them. I'M NOT A BIG FAN OF multi-view cards or cards with text on them (unless it is part of the picture). But I don't actually want to limit you so you can send me traditional view-cards too. The most important thing is that you yourself like the card you send.
Oh, no envelopes, please!
If you want to know what kind of cards I have received, click on the website link on the top to visit my Flickr account. I post all the cards there, but sometimes it takes a while because of the 100MB/month limit.

There's a certain pattern you can find.
PS. A translation would be a plus if you write something longer than "hi". Or you can write a lot in your language and let me do some exploring with a dictionary. (The latter can take some time, so if you want a corehent reply or an interesting comment regarding your card, choose the first option mentioned.)
PPS. Please try to write in clear handwriting, because nothing makes me more frustrated than trying to figure out what interesting things someone says in their card. I like to reply with more than simple 'thank you for the card', so let me have something to comment on, thanks!
PPPS. I'm ready to swap other things than just postcards as well if you want. And you can also just randomly pop up with a card request, if you'd for example like to receive a card made by some Finnish artist. Anyone can make a request.
